BLACK GLASS PAGES

WEBSITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION

the problem...

Everyday you gaze through black glass. It shows you war and depravity and societally mandated pilgrimages forcefully taxed on toll roads. It bears you willful ignorance and haunting awareness, but you sit before it day after day. At Black Glass Pages, we collect those thinly veiled horrors, overlooked atrocities, and sharp injustices both large and small, bottle them up and package them for people whose names we may never know.

CURRENT ISSUE

Fall 2024...

SUBS CLOSED-- The theme of this issue is abandoned or untouched spaces. We are looking to lose our way in deserted storage rooms, empty shopping malls, overgrown roadways. This theme has been inspired by Jeff Vandermeer's Annihilation, Emily St. John Mandel's Station Eleven, and Iain Reid's I'm Thinking of Ending Things. We want to be skiddish and bleary eyed by the end. Submit your poetry, your essays, your flash and long form fiction. We're ready to feel alone.
